Editorial Policy

This policy explains the standards behind SmartToolKit guides and the limits we communicate to readers.

Last updated Oct 12, 2026

Research and sourcing

We prefer current, first-party documentation from the software or device maker. Each launch guide names and links the official sources used and states the date on which its instructions were checked.

We write in our own words and organise steps around a real task. We do not copy support articles, invent search volume, popularity, reviews, credentials or testing results.

AI-assisted production and editorial accountability

SmartToolKit uses digital tools, including AI-assisted research and drafting, during content production. Every guide is reviewed, edited and checked against current first-party documentation before publication. Device or application testing is disclosed when performed, and explanatory diagrams are identified as diagrams rather than screenshots.

Content is created to help readers complete practical tasks. We do not use fictional authors, invented credentials or fabricated testing claims. Guides are reviewed when operating systems or applications change, and readers can report corrections at support@f11softwarelab.site.

Research versus testing

A guide is described as researched unless the steps were actually performed on the stated device and software version under a documented test. At launch, the guides are editorially researched from official documentation and have not been independently lab-tested across every supported device.

Interface labels vary by operating-system release, region, account type, device maker and managed policy. We call out known variation and invite specific corrections.

Safety and reader control

  • Warnings appear before steps that delete data, reset settings, change permissions or upload files to cloud services.
  • We favour reversible actions, small batches and verification before deletion.
  • We distinguish local files from cloud copies and cache from permanent app data.
  • We do not encourage bypassing administrator policies, software security or document protection.

Dates, updates and corrections

Publication and update dates reflect real editorial changes, not automatic freshness. When a source or product interface materially changes, we revise the guide and its update date. Minor typography fixes may not change that date.

Send corrections to support@f11softwarelab.site. We assess reports against official documentation and describe unresolved verification needs honestly.

Commercial independence

SmartToolKit does not publish paid rankings or promise product outcomes. Advertising is disabled in the current build. If advertising is introduced later, it must be visually separated from editorial content, disclosed in the privacy policy and enabled only with appropriate consent and publisher configuration.
